More
and more students from TTM school are able to achieve a major milestone
in their lives. In increasing numbers TTM students have
been able to pass the national college entrance exam. When
this happens the majority of the student's tuition costs for a
2 or 4 year college are paid for
by the government. A few years ago this achievement was
mostly out of reach for orphanage students. Now with the help
of the tutoring program
orphanage students can better compete with everyone else.
Besides
the cost of tuition, general
schooling expenses for these students average about $50 per
month per student. The Student Scholarship Program
attempts to offset about one-half of these expenses ($25) and
the orphanage picks up the remainder. This way more students
have the chance for a better life by being able to attend school.
Our
goal this year will be to provide this scholarship to all TTM
students who pass the entrance exam to enter a 2 or 4-year college or university. It
will only be with continued support from donors like you that we
are able to do this.
If you would like to make a
difference in one of their lives, talk to us about much you
might be able to afford monthly (generally $25 per month). We'll see
that this money
reaches your student and will also provide you with a special student username/password
so you can receive news about your adopted student.
If
you're looking to make a difference in the life of one student
of your choice contact us and
we'll explain how this works.
